My adult kids always ask me what I want for my birthday and when I saw these on Peretti’s website I was absolutely awed. Made by renowned pewtersmith Larry Blackett you can only get the raven tamper as part of the set. The Poe bust is available separately. I never knew of Poe’s connection to Boston but he was actually born in the building in which Peretti's now resides! Coincidently, a package came to the house yesterday from some Italian guy in Boston.

I use my Peterson Sherlock Holmes pewter for packing my pipe. Love Holmes, and it was made in my wife’s home town at Mullingar Pewter in Westmeath. When outdoors smoking, however, I find I miss having the pick end. Too bad since I love the weight of it. Wish his head unscrewed or something to reveal a pick.
