Tonight, Portland, OR is putting a stop to the camping protesters of the occupy movement. At 12:01 AM, all protesters are to be out of the park. Violence is somewhat expected.

Regardless of your feelings on the matter, this'll be interesting. Look to see photos from me in the next couple of days.

I have been waiting for this to happen down here as well.Invercargill is a small city and there are about ten or so tents set up. though i am not expecting violence. NZ police havent been violent against protestors since the early eighties.

My wife works for Discover Pulse systems and Iam about ready to clear them out of downtown Houston myself . The vulgarities and ignorance displayed is beyond belief . They litter , deficate on the sidewalks ,throw thier trash on the ground and graffiti the buildings . My wife is not a monster she processes your atm transactions and writes procedures .

When the first movement started in NYC, I was in the car with a co-worker and told him it would get big. I just figured the NYC movement would grow (there), I didn't expect the nation-wide movement. The sad part is, their message/purpose has gotten diluted, thus lessening the impact. Instead of attracting only those passionate about their actual movement, they ended up attracting a lot of unemployed, bored, and desperate people longing to belong to something. Some of them just don't have anything better to do with their time, and if you ask them why they are there, they don't have any clue.

I have strong opinions on this myself, but I'm afraid this is more of a political discussion than anything else. I know Collin didn't put it that way, and just wants to report on it, but please remember the rule of no political discussions.
I'd love to tell you what I think of the Occupy movement, but not here.

Been watching the reports on the local news just now.

All remains peaceful and, as cortez so succinctly put it, silly.
Someone associated with the so-called movement was just interviewed, asked what they wanted to accomplish and I kid you not he's a politician in the making. Spoke for 3 minutes and didn't say anything. (-:
