Hello all!
I am happy to say that my long awaited SB Billiard from Michael Parks has arrived. I was concerned about spending so much on a pipe, but let me tell you, it was worth it. Not only is it beautiful, but it passes a cleaner straight through with no resistance (not hard for a billiard I suppose), and it smokes perfectly! I am two bowls in with absolutely no gurgling and no dottle...down to the bottom dry! This is something I have never been able to do before. I tried a bowl of Modern Virginia and Pipeworkes and Wilke No. 191. Upon further reflection, I think I will dedicate this pipe to VA blends.
Ordering a pipe from Mr. Parks is a great experience. All along the way he solicited feedback and gave me many options. Also, he provided photos to make the wait go by (a little) faster.
Here is the progression of the pipe:

WOW! That is a nice billiard. Congrats! I love that blast.
You would be surprised at how many billiards I have come across over the years that did not pass a pipe cleaner...

I have one serious problem with this pipe. I am so infatuated with it I want to keep smoking it without putting it into rotation. Maybe if I place an order for another one now, I'll be able to afford it when it is ready. I think I will start saving my pennies for a similar pipe from him, same specs, but a bent billiard. A matched set on a lay away plan lol.

As someone who has a few of Michael's pipes, let me just say that I think you made a great investment in your hobby. What a stunning blast1

I am patiently waiting (ok, maybe not so patiently) for mine.
Beautiful blast and coloration on that billiard.
Enjoy it for many years to come.

Is there anyone here who doesn't have a commission in with Michael?
That would be me. About the only commission I may have or can afford is another MM cob.
Other than that... a beautiful pipe!

Really nice pipe, love your idea about getting a matching bent to match. So the pipe maker is Michael Parks right? Will do a Google search for his "art".. Unless you have a website for me to look at.

I love it with my favorite coloring on the bowl and shank. I will look at his also. This site is sinking my retirement savings. I have two Rad Davis's and now I have to look at Parks' too. Damn it!!!
