It is a beautiful pipe. Too bad logistically it didn't work out.

I have experienced it once. I won't mention the brand so as not to bash them, and I have 3 others by the same brand that do not have the problem. But one pipe was an online thing so I didn't get to inspect in a shop. It gurgles badly and won't pass a pipe cleaner due to off center drilling. So it isn't a comfort thing, but a mechanical issue.
I loved the way it looked and still do, but it rarely gets smoked because I know what's going to happen.

A few times with new pipes I ordered - the ones I knew right away I sent back, and some others I had for awhile but they never grew on me and I sold them, but some I still have, and some I've gifted on.

I've had a couple of estates I took a chance on that were burnt out and tossed 'em but the same as with new pipes, sometimes in hand they just aren't what I thought they would be and I sold those but still have some around I know I'm not going to use.

Have you ever bought a pipe you thought would be a good fit, only to smoke a couple of bowls and give away? That is the case with this Chacom, loved the way it looked but just didn't feel right.

Inevitably, buying a pipe online becomes an exercise in chance. I like that some websites will make videos of more expensive pipes so you can get a better 3D feel for it, but at the end of the day until you hold a pipe in your hands and smoke a bowl, it's really hard to say if you'll get along with it or not.

Which is why pipe shows are such a great experience, especially for the newer piper.

GBD had some with those clear stems also. I am pretty open-minded about stem materials, but I just foresee those clear stems looking a tad yellow and brown in time, especially as the draft gets stained. Maybe I am wrong, but the inside of my white stems are definitely stained.
The GBD stems are called Perspex. I have five of them and love them because the Perspex is very comfortable. Bristle pipe cleaners work pretty well clearing out the brown residue.

I have a GBD with the Perspex and totally agree with this ^. If it's a clear stem you desire, look for an estate GBD.
