Hello (again) esteemed pipe enthusiasts! I'm a long-time lurker-turned-contributor who's been on rather an extended sabbatical the past couple years, recently shepherded back into the fold by Kevin. I write little essays about what I think tobaccos taste like and other assorted fare, poke my nose into random threads here and there, and love answering questions from readers about any topic under the sun. My personal & professional background covers themes like coffee & tea sourcing and buying, fine woodworking, the construction arts, tabletop RPGs, travel, Bollywood, language & linguistics, art & design, and occasionally spaceships, among other things. After having spent a couple years away, it's wonderful to come back to the same old curmudgeonly, snarky, informative, open, welcoming and most fun pipe site on the interwebs!

A steady stream of new "faces" here, and a steady cadre of the old guard still carrying on. The late greats fish'n'banjo and foggy mountain have ascended to the great smoke ring in the sky. Peck' shows up now and then after a long hiatus. Welcome back.

Welcome back.

My friend accepted my commission for a table. He’s about got it finished .

Glad you've come home!
Where was your sabbatical? And in fact, where do you live now?
Love coffee as much as pipe tobacco! Bollywood, need help getting into it.

Thanks for the warm re-welcome; it's great to see a lot of the 'old guard' still around, and refreshing to see so many new members--the community here has certainly grown.
@sablebrush52 -- While I seldom mix Bollywood and spaceships, they did collide when I worked under Samir Chanda
@mso489 -- Always sad to say goodbye to old friends--but again, I'm glad to see so many faces still here
@kcghost -- I am here to enable your TAD, of course puffy so don't blame me later!
@chilllucky -- nice tool chest! No warhammer, I was more of a pen-and-pencil guy (with a guilty history of furniture making as well)
@Sweet Home Alabama nice table--I'm curious what your buddy's using for the render / design plan?
@STP @anotherbob @FurCoat -- Pleasure to make acquaintance, but I relinquished my high explosives certification
@jpmcwjr -- the terms of WITSEC dissuade me from being more specific; suffice it to say I exist primarily in the ether :col:
