I don't care for the look of most Nordings, nor do I own one. But When I saw this on P&C.com, I couldn't resist. It's an Erik Nording Bobblehead and pipe rest. I also got some pipe cleaners, a windcap, and a tin of C&D Mississippi Mud to refill my stock.

I saw that the other day...pretty cool. I think they should create a whole line of famous pipe smoker bobbleheads, with pipes in their mouths. Sherlock, Twain, Einstein, Kevin, you name it. They'd sell like hot cakes. :puffy:

Nordings are nice pipes. I have 4 now. They smoke nice and they're easy to clean. They fit in your hand just right. The bowl height is nice. Mine have 1" diameter bowls. Larger bowls are my first choice. I find the tobacco flavor is better in a larger bowl. I smoke the Nordings 80% of the time.

I'm just looking purely at the weight of Nording pipes, but since they seem to trail into the 60-80 grams quite often, do any of you who own Nording pipes feel they get too heavy to clench? I clench straight billiards, generally 5.5-5.9 inches in length and probably 40-55g, the longer and heavier billiard obviously more tiring. I do like the freehand look but yeah, they seem too heavy for hands-free.
Fun bobblehead, somehow reminds me of my dentist's office...

I can't help you, I don't clench.
I'm a confirmed hand holder. :puffpipe:

+1 My 4 Nordings were beautiful, heavy and couldn't pass a pipe cleaner without incredible amount of contortion. Ended up selling them all last year. Smoked well, but not well enough to outweigh the other aspects. I'd buy another one though without hesitation.
