i just bought a nording freehand pipe and was wondering if any one knew what was the best way to break them in? as in 3/4ths or just stuff and puff

As with any pipe i get, I just fill it and smoke. Sometimes, too much thought is put into how to smoke

I think the stuff and puff method will work just fine.

You are going to love that pipe.

I have two Nordings and they are great smokers.

I suppose I've had mine upwards of twenty years or longer.
A good honest pipe.

thanks guys i know my pete was a pain to break in so just wanted to do this one right. id love to post a picture but i dont know how any help? so far im in love with it it has a great feel and weight.

Stuff... puff... and enjoy and if it starts to feel hot just slow down and let it naturally cool down a little before relighting and finishing the bowl.

Just fill and smoke I tried other ways it all turns out the same in the end.

My first freehand is a Nording, been an old friend and companion for over 25 years. I am sure that all I did was stuff and puff, lol. I had no knowledge of the finer points of pipe smoking back then.

well its official i am in love with this little Nording and will with out a doubt buy one again.... possibly very soon.
