Unplugging and smoking is a lovely idea, but not always practical at this time. When I’m not doing 9 to 5 work, I’m usually catching up on freelance work. When the weather is nice, I often smoke cigars outside—smoking pipes is usually relegated to the indoors; I’ll risk cobs outside, but not most of my other pipes and my Old Boy is useless in the wind. If reading at the computer, my pipe smoking is often uninterrupted, but if I’m working on a project, it messes with my pipe smoking—I don’t like to clench and mess up my stems, and both the drawing and design work often requires two hands at the keyboard (silicone bits don’t work well for me). A clenchable cob might be the solution during drawing/design work. Being able to smoke only, with no devices might have to wait until there is less work to do.
Smoking a pipe during UFC on Saturdays is probably better for smoking a pipe than working—six potential hours of just being able to smoke.
