Is it silly to be this impressed with packaging?
Because I’m impressed. Sorry for the crappy lighting, I snapped these right in front of a glass door with sunlight coming through.

I especially like the false floor/tray with the Boveda hidden underneath. I didn’t even notice it in the first box of these I went through. There’s also a QR code to see who made your sticks. None of this is anything that would make me buy or not buy a particular cigar, but it is a nice little bonus to see that level of care put into something that is often seen as disposable.

Fuente packaging is great as well. I just got a box of Rothschild Maduro and the spiderweb tissue and paper included is beautiful

I think packaging is part of the enjoyment. Lots of time and energy put into artwork, branding, the overall aesthetic. Nothing wrong with acknowledging it and appreciating it. Boxes are collected and repurposed all the time.

I‘m collecting bands to do something with them, not sure yet what it will be.

hey I love looking at my jars. Part of the enjoyment of tobacco is visual. Maybe not the biggest part. I will never buy a tobacco because it looks nicer but doesn't mean I won't appreciate it and the fact is that could tilt one over the fence they're sitting on. Like two brands just as good and I can't decide maybe the prettier one will be the one I buy.

I have collected the bands of any new-to-me cigar for years. I also don’t know what to do with them. ?

I don’t think it’s silly. While it was more popular in the past, it’s good to see that some have maintained the presentation tradition regardless of cost. I received a Jack Daniels Sinatra Select gift set a few years ago that was pretty cool, and I still have it on display… the packaging. The whisky is gone ?
