Howdy & welocome from the SC upstate! That's a nice looker of a Rhodesian you've got there! You'll probably get to like Comoy's; they've always been a fave of mine! If you want the really good ones, look on ebay or other places that stock estate pipes for ones from the early '80s or before. That was when Cadogan Investments took them over. Somewhat after that the "3-piece C" or "inlaid C" (pretty labor-intensive) gave way first to a 1-piece inlay, & then to a laser marking. You can see the relative differences here.

After the takeover quality went down a bit due to cost-savings measures. It was about that time that Cadogan also acquired GBD, another primo maker from back in the day. They use to have the logo in a brass roundel on the stem, but Cadogan went to stamping the logo into the shank -- same $ deal. If you see pipes advertised as "pre-Cadogan" or with the early 8os or before, those are the ones you really want, back when they were really really good.
