Hello, everyone. I'm a passionate reader of Pipes Magazine online and a new pipe smoker who took up the hobby just over six months ago. I was born in New Zealand but moved to the USA in 2011. First, Austin, Texas, and now the mountains of North Carolina. I thoroughly enjoy reading all the posts, debates, and reviews of pipe lore, techniques, and tobaccos. My first decent pipe purchase was a Peterson billard, and since then, I have bought several Chacom pipes and accruing more. My son gifted me an old estate pipe for Christmas called a 457 English Rustic, which I'll attempt my first restoration project soon. It needs some love, for sure. I've probably spent more on supplies to restore it than the actual cost of the pipe. Anyhow. It's nice to connect with you all.
