New way of drying out baccy?

I didn't want to wait for some to dry out before smoking it. So I left the oven on after cooking some biscuits, put a bowls worth of baccy in a thick ceramic bowl my wife had made and just set it on top of the stove. The bowl is not hot at all, but just barely warm. No direct heat just the ambient that comes from the oven being on.
Just wondering if any of you folks have tried this.

Hmmm. Interesting thought, but never tried it. The only time I ever heat tobacco to dry it out is when its summer time outside and the humidity is too high for the tobacco to dry out naturally. In this case, I will use a desk lamp to dry mine out. Now that its getting close to winter, the air is so dry in my part of the world that I can set baccy out for a good half hour and it is good and dry. Any longer than that and its so dry that its unsmokable. This is a nifty idea though. Thanks for sharing.

Sometimes, when I need to dry my Dunhill Flakes a little, I lay a sheet of kitchen roll on my laptop and place the flakes on that. The warmth of the computer is enough to gently dry them without over doing things.

I just set my tobacco on a piece of paper or in a small bowl on the table.
If anyone uses the oven at your house, consider yourself fortunate.

Withnail, thats basically what im doing i suppose. Just using the oven instead of the laptop. I have several laying around and all going all the time , guess i could just use the laptop lol. Good idea
