Hi Folks. First post since I joined (apart from the intro.) As I mentioned, I've been smoking inherited pipes. I am an outdoor flake smoker, so I wanted something a little smaller to carry with me. Saw a little Tsuge bent Dublin for cheap at Smoking Pipes... Any, I've been smoking MacBaren Old Dark Fired. Got the Tsuge, it was precarbed... hmm. I like the look a lot, I like the vulcanite stem. First try.. disappointing, foul tasting. Second try, better, being careful about how I pack it, going for a slow burn. Never broken in a pipe before so thought I'd post, get some feedback. I will keep working with it.

Sand out the pre-carbonizing and it will smoke much better for you. I wish they would quite using that crap and let me break my own pipe in. A good cake has to be earned lol good luck with your new pipe though they sure are pretty to look at!

Actually, my avatar is a pic of me. Not sure why it's not showing.

Hopefully a pic of the pipe is below:

Thanks. Yes, I like the look a lot. Hopefully I'll like the smoke as well.

Here is a (bad) picture of the Tsuge with her older brothers:
