Picked up a Chacom Louvre 875 at the local shop today so had to give it a smoke. The finish is great, light scratches on the bowl and a little charring on the lip of the bowl that started fading with some light rubbing. For the first bowl I went with McClelland's Beacon Extra and I'll tell you this....The bowl is big.... bigger then anything else I have. Loaded enough to fill 2 of my normal bowls and went to town. Lit easy and the draw was nice and smooth, top and mid smoked as smooth as any of my Petersons. Bottom I notice started getting a little wet but I think that is mostly my own fault. Tobacco was a bit to moist and I was sitting under a veranda in the rain so the wetness could be my own fault. In all I'm very happy with it but its size I think will make it my new home pipe when I have some time to sit and give deep though to the troubles in the Middle East, global economy, or the new season of Castle.
