Have toyed with pipes for several years but my interest has grown as I have aged. Looking for some suggestions on tobaccos. Looking for a medium strength smoke with a nice aroma. I know this is an open ended question but I'm sure some of the experienced smokers on this forum can give me some constructive suggestions. Look forward to the replies.

Welcome to the forum! You're going to get lots of suggestions with the attributes you gave. Everybody has their favorites and I'm still discovering new favorites, so get ready to start throwing darts and see what you like. I'd get a tin of something in each genre that's also not a pain in the ass to find. Personally, I think they pretty much all smell good.

Just to toss one out there, I like Sir Walter Raleigh Aromatic, burley based with Virginia as a condiment and flavored with three liqueurs. Smells good and you can taste the tobacco. Or if you are looking for a more premium tobacco, I think the mild English blend Nat Sherman 536 is one of the most refined English blends and an easy smoke.

I have to go with Plum Pudding for my good start. It is hard to make bite, smokes cool and you will learn about cake. the great thing about pipe smoking...to each his/her own!

welcome to the forums, I have always enjoyed Peter Stokkebye's English Oriental Supreme as a medium strength blend with a nice aroma.

Welcome & howdy, Drew! Lots of good stuff to choose from. BCA is one of my favorites , & also Plum Pudding as trout said! Tom's recommendation of SWRA isn't at all bad either.

Welcome to the forum!
Carter Hall fits your requirements. You also may like Peterson Signature Flake. C&D Bayou Morning is also one I enjoy.

Welcome to the forum. You are not very specific, so I'll just toss St Bruno out there. It's a medium strenght virginia with some kentucky and a nice, discreet fruity/flowery topping.
