That nording was my first ever experience with a new non estate pipe. I'm thinking I'm gonna stick to estates for the most part from now on. A thorough cleaning and your good to go!

Thanks for the welcomes, everyone I've either talked to or read forum posts on has been exceedingly nice and knowledgeable! It's nice to find an online community that takes pride in being decent to each other. Maybe the rest of the dang world should start smoking a pipe and join in!

It goes with a line of John Dryden's:
"If all the world be worth thy winning

Think, oh think it worth enjoying"
Or the Beatles version:
"Life is very short, and there's no time

For fussing and fighting, my friend."
