So I'm somewhat new to pipe smoking. I've smoked basically all forms of tobacco. Cigars, cigarettes and more recently pipes. Something about pipes is incredible to me. The flavor, the relaxation, the time you take out of your day to just focus on your thoughts. So, I was hoping to get a few recommendations. Pipes and tobacco. I have 4 pipes. 1 dr.grabow, 1 fess churchwarden, 1 basket nose warmer pipe, and 1 Missouri meerschaum, which is my favorite. I've been smoking the blend 10, my tobacco shops best seller. I work there too, I am 19 with a full time job there and I just love it. It's slightly off to see someone at my age smoking a pipe now but I love it. So, any suggestions?

Awesome and welcome! 19 and knows the names of pipes and has a job. Nah just messing with you and you have landed in the right place. The crew here will fill your head with so much information you’ll be a cigar smoker in no time lols.
FIRST! Go back and read the post “Please Look before you post your new thread!” then edit your title. “New Smoker Here, Any Suggestions?”
Otherwise you’ll hear about it, and you don’t want that. :(
The best advice I can give you is that no matter how much you like a tobacco and hate another, a couple years down the line it could change right around. There are more blends than ever, and more coming all the time. You’ve got enough pipes to start exploring blends. First off you’re smoking a house blend so I’m not sure what it is. My guess would be that it’s an Aromatic. Most people start smoking Aromatics and then move on to other things and bounce around all over the place. But it’s good to try a couple bowls of a blend before you make up your mind what you think of it. Trying a couple blends from the basic food groups is a good start. There will be many posts below that will list blends for you. But you want to try some Aromatics, English, Virginia and Burley. Now blends are a combination of a few of these things with different casings, toppings, and special leaf like Perique and Latakia. You are starting down a road that will take years to weed your way through, and will suffer informational overload. Keep it simple and, read- read-read and when you ask something; be prepared for A LOT of advice.

Thanks guys. My bad, I'm new to the forum and haven't really used a site like this yet. But thank you for the advice. I really enjoy this hobby and would love to explore it completely. Which is good, because there's always something new for me to try.

This is a good site with lots of good information. I started smoking a pipe when I was 19 too, put it down for many years and picked it back up again several years ago. I SO wish I had a resource like this when I was 19, enjoy the hobby and welcome!

Welcome aboard. I think a lot of the older guys here probably started around your age - we lived in a time when pipe smoking was acceptable and fairly common. I started when I went to college, at age 18, because, in my view, a college man smoked a pipe. Then I kept it up 'cause I liked it.

I will give you my standard advice. Smoke the best pipes and tobacco you can afford. It will enhance your experience.

PipesMagazine's sister site, LuxuryTobaccoReviews, helps you to identify and browse those basic food groups.

Welcome Youngsterpuffer, the members here are awesome and be very warned that they will give you a bad case of PAD and TAD if you hang around for a long time.

I agree with Foggymountain.
Additionally, I would suggest you stop driving a car, eating any food from a super market, avoiding sleeping on a mattress, or using any household cleaning agents, laundry detergent, or personal grooming products. You may also want to avoid painting, working in an office building, using air conditioning, or flying in airplanes.

You forgot a few: outside = Death, inside = death, doing anything = death, not doing anything = death.
That should about cover it.
But other than that, welcome to the forum.
