Picked up three estate pipes today from ebay to keep my medico from earlier this week company. I can't find much info on them, I'm pretty sure they are cheap pipes, but all are briar. a filtermaster, a klean draft, and a thermofilter. I figured three for $16 bucks would be cheap enough for me to learn how to restore them without breaking my bank account. Any info on them would be appreciated.

Sounds like a great price for a good project, sustaining the life of these good old working man's pipes. I suspect they'll smoke well too.

well, they came in the mail today. Thorough cleaning, one was BAD, and just a little polishing with the dremel and they look great. I have to get something to polish the stems with but they're really not bad at all. One is a sandblast that looks a little junky but the other two are great, can't wait to try them.
