this pipe came as a straight stem block. well wanted to do something different. i bent the stem witch turned out great but does not look that great on the shape i made.

took a dr g freehand stem and it fit and looks good. just trying to figure

were to go from here.

Nice looking work. Do you rough cut the block first with bandsaw/coping saw or is that all done by grinding/belt sanding away the wood that doesn't belong?

thanks, just using a disk sander and dremel tool. i am picking up a band saw from a buddy next week. will stop a lot of dust.

Buckeye you have inspired me.

I bought a lot of 4 on e-bay lastnight to restore and rusticate. Then I am going to buy blanks and stems, and try freehands. I am a tool and die maker/machinist plus my dad has a sweet woodshop. When I figure out how to get pics on here I will post em.
