New Pipes For Morton !

My good friend Morton asked me to make a couple pipes for him awhile back. I am posting the pics for him here, so here goes.

The first was for a bent Apple, with the curves reminiscent of an Author or the GBD 9438/9242 shape.

The second pipe is a Poker/Volcano sitter.

Those are some gorgeous pipes! I really like the way that you fused the grain with the shape! The birdseye on the bottom of the volcano/poker is luscious! Beautiful rhythm in the flow of the shapes!

Good to hear you are rocking and rolling again Ryan, that is some outstanding work.
I do hope to be emailing you again (or calling) to discuss something along the lines of that volcano. I can see that with some different accenting wood near the stem. The birdseye on that piece is just breath taking.
