New Pipes (Father's Day Gifts)

I told my wife and two children that they each could get me a pipe for Father's day (of course, I helped them).
I ended up with a Cooke natural billiard and a new shape, a bent apple, that JT just carved for the first time. These are from my two wonderful sons. Finally, my dear wife got me a bruce Weaver blasted acorn. The 7 day Cooke set is complete, but I have a commission coming in August, so I may have to make it a Beatles "8 days a week" set.

JT just contacted me. He had a glitch with his website, and two folks responded and we both bought the same pipe (the other fellow being slightly first). So I didn't get the bent apple above. Luckily he had another bent shape, so he is getting that one out to me. These things happen.

By the way, Bruce Weaver sent me an e-mail thanking me for my purchase and let me know that I bought the first pipe made in his new workshop. I guess he just moved houses. Both JT and Bruce are fine gentlemen and a pleasure to deal with.

Great taste as always Peck. I love the Cooke blasting technique, his pipes are stunners. Thanks for putting me onto Weaver as another carver to watch. I'd never seen his pipes before. That Dublin you mentioned is fantastic. I love the way the straight shank rakes back and up at an angle to the bowl.

My Father's Day gift was this:

Comoy's facet pipe. I have a weakness for facet/paneled pipes. Particularly ones that use hex or octagonal facets.
