I'm about to add a new horse to the stable. I'm a sucker for Sainelli, and Im thinking about a "Bing's Favorite" or a Tundra "Canadian" 802. Any thought or sugestions to try another brand or style?
I haven't owned either but while I generally like Canadian shapes I really like the look of the Bing's favorite
btw, here is an old thread about the bing:

Delkhouri, I have to say I love your quote in your signiature. C. S. Lewis is my favorite author. I really like the look of the "Bing" and I almost hate to admit it but my love of Bing, his music and films, was one of the things that got me to start smoking a pipe. So I will own one of those pipes at some point in time, I'm just not sure If I want a rustic one or a smooth.
Thanks, Glad to hear you love C.S. Lewis as well.
I think, by your own admission, you owe yourself a bing. Smokingpipes.com has them $96 for the rusticated and $108 for the smooth. I would go rusticated and no it is not about the $14 difference even though that could get me a nice tin. The smooth ones I have seen don't have the really nice/pretty grain that I would want in a smooth pipe. But that is just me. Get what you like and smoke it proudly. For me an many others, a pipe smokes a little better if it has a special meaning behind it.
