Alright. As many of you know I recently bought my first pipe. It has no markings. I payed 15 dollars for it. It is not briar as I came to find out(not a deal breaker). Here is just a quick breakdown.
Pros:

Great style

Good, Rather quiet smoke

Comfortable weight,a little heavy but not to bad.
Cons:

Bowl loner makes it hard to clean the bowl

Small bowl.(Maybe 5-7 minutes of moderate speed smoking.

Filter makes stem cleaning a major hassle

Not briar, So I know I am missing out on something.
The pipe smokes well, and there is very little draw noise. The bowl is small which make it hard to pack and doesnt last as long as it should. The metal bowl line and stem filter make cleaning hard.
So all in all, for 15 dollars I cannot complain. I will absolutely be saving my money for a better pipe.

THe 3 holes in the liner are almost to small to get a pipe cleaner through!

I've had one of those Chinese plastic pipes with metal bowl and stinger (different shape though). It was my first pipe and I used it for a while and it worked, but trust me, you'll enjoy the day you get a better engineered pipe from a material more suited to pipe smoking. I've trashed that pipe now. But hey, it's a way to start and it does in fact work to burn tobacco in, so until you get something better it'll get the job done. :)
ps. you can buy those straight from China for less than $5 (free shipping and handling) from DX.

I just picked up a pipe of the same type as I was looking for a more durable pipe, I have already broken one briar in my pocket at work. I wish I had not wasted my money, smoked like crap and smells nasty after finished smoking. I will be purchasing a grab bag of cobs shortly for "work pipes" they smoke great and are inexpensive.

why are you guys giving this fellow the beat down? he comes here to brag a little about his first pipe (which cost $15) and isn't a bad looker and evidently a decent enough but short smoker. I remember the beat down I got over a Dunhill I asked about. the pile on about there are much better pipes for less money crowd had a field day.
look's like the fellow hasn't been around for 8 months and a week..
