Decided to break in my new Kaywoodie Regent with Robert McConnell Oriental Square. I will have to say it was a great choice for the task. Burns cool, Orientals shine with sweets and sour, enough latakia to know its there without taking over the blend.I am a Balkan blend fan and this one does have a little more oomph for the cold days.

I don't know about burning cool as most know tend to burn hotter. Sounds like you like that blend which makes it a good choice for breaking in the pipe. I'm in the school of thought that breaking in a pipe entails loading it with tobacco and smoking it properly.
