Thanks to forum member Pappymac for inviting me to my first New Orleans Pipe Club meeting.
The club meets at the 2nd NOLA Mayan Imports shop, which is outside the downtown.
The shop is well appointed and I was surprised at how many members attended. It seemed like every five minutes, a guy with a pipe was walking in. Surprisingly, there weren't many forum members. A few from here and also the Pipe Smokers Den.
Everyone was very welcoming, just like most club events I've attended on the East Coast. I guess pipe smokers everywhere are alike!
The shop manager had a raffle for a special edition Savinelli, I'm not sure who won that.
The Laudisi rep was there with a huge selection of Peterson and Savinelli pipes.
Pictures are mine and from the groups Facebook page (via Pappymac).
Several members live across the lake near me, I'll have to get our house together and host a small meet up here in the next few months.
I'm on the left (Cash/Dylan shirt) and Pappymac in the center with white shirt and flat cap. The group has some great looking gear as well!
