The Lower Forty of Hill Country
Piketown outside of Harrisburg
During my primary career, I spent a lot of time in your state, as I had customers in York and Bangor. I recall stopping in Harrisburg once to spend the night, only to find that there were absolutely NO hotel rooms to be had. It seems that the Harley-Davidson plant (of which I was previously unaware) there was having an open-house. I ended up staying in a lovely little bed-and-breakfast (whose name I cannot now recall) on the banks of the Susquehanna River; a delightful experience!

Very nice! I did some work up there in the Slate Belt many years ago. Bangor had the neatest sidewalks.

i don't know if it is still there, but Renee's Cafe in Bangor was a favorite for breakfast.
Goodness. I haven't been in Bangor in 15 years. I was close just a couple of weeks ago, working just north of Easton, but i cant say I was ever in that Cafe.

When we worked there in Bangor we would stay in Stroudsburg and eat at this college bar called Flood's. It was walking distance from the motel and had good food and even better jukebox. Studebaker's, west of town, was a good place to eat too.
