I just joined yesterday and wanted to say hi!, to all of you. Smoked GBD's in the 1960's while in school and about 3 years ago I dusted off my pipes and started again. Retired teacher and retired Army. My pipes are GBD, SAVINELLI, STANWELL, DR GRABOW, PETERSON, BEN WADE NO NAME. My tobacco's are (ENGLISH) KENSINGTON, SAMARRA BY GLPEASE, BEST BLEND BY SMOKERS HAVEN, PENZANCE BY ESOTERICA but, I think GLPease for me is the best match. In Aug at Columbus Ohio there is the annual American Pipe Collectors Assoc Pipe Show and I have found it to be a great place to learn and see some good "stuff" GOOD SMOKING TO ALL DAVE (ARMY05)

After so long away from the pipe, how did you find your return?
The differences in blends you smoked from the 1960s to now would be interesting to compare.
