New member question

I have a friend who's father passed away last year and left her with a large collection of pipes, holders, boxes, etc... She now has them stored in my garage. I'm just wondering what she should do. She knows nothing about them, but would like to find someone who does. We are located in Northern Indiana. Anyone you could refer us to would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds to me like you should catalogue them and then you two pick out things you want then auction off the rest of it.

You could auction them yourself on Ebay, but you would probably not get top dollar without some knowledge of the pipes and the best ways to list them.

There are a few members on Ebay who list estate pipes for a fee.

You could also find someone on the forum here to help sell them for you.

I would be interested in them myself.

Acutally I was going to suggest that as well, just forgot, since today I'm a little rushed off my feet. But yes, please do tell us whats there, chances are there may be some pieces in there a lot of us might be willing to pay a good price for.

If you are close to Fort Wayne try stopping in at one of the Riegels locations. Some of the guys are more into cigars so you may want to give em a call to see when a piper will be in before making a long drive.
