Hey, fellow pipers...
I've been smoking a pipe for about two years now. I suddenly got interested in pipe smoking because I had been smoking cigars, but had always heard of pipe tobacco being softer and more aromatic. Bought a pouch of Captain Black regular and a MM Legend at my local head shop, had a pretty good introductory experience with that, and now have a big collection of cobs and a handful of misc. wooden pipes.

My preference is mainly for light-latakia blends. I am currently enjoying Hearth and Home Chestnut as well as EMP and its MATCH blend, mainly from cobs.

I look forward to absorbing some of the expertise on this forum as well as contributing some of my own unique ideas.

Hello from Austin!

You can add GL Pease Chelsea Morning to your moderate latakia try list, if looking for additional options.

October 3 will be the Texas Pipe Show date this year, so add to your calendar now!

Yeah, thanks for the suggestion! Always looking for new blends in that vein to try. I'll be damned if Chestnut isn't near-perfect for my taste, though!
