Welcome to the forum joey! You are correct probably not a good idea to put alcohol in a meer. That looks like a nice pipe -Enjoy it. As for the de-ghosting I would just smoke your favorite mixture in it. After 5-10 bowls the old ghosts should be gone. I have smoked English blends in my meers and they will ghost it slightly but after a few smokes of Virginias or an aromatic and the Latakia scent is non-existent.

Very nice pipe. I have several Mastercraft pipes. One is meerschaum lined and is a good smoker but I don't have any that are totally meerschaum. I didn't know the classic American companies made meerschaum pipes like that.

I can't remember the exact date when Turkey banned the export of raw meerschaum. Years ago though they did export the material so many pipe manufacturers all over the world produced meer pipes. Today Meerschaum can only leave the country (Turkey) once it has been crafted into something.

Joey:
Welcome!
Could I ask a favor? Could you please use some punctuation in future posts? I'd appreciate that. I think I had to read your OP several times before I could figure out what you were trying to say.
