After my St. Pats pipe disaster (stem & bit were not drilled straight), I couldn't resist the sale JN Barber Ltd had. So I grabbed an Irish Made Army 120. None of the major US retailers had the 120 shape in stock plus the lowest price was $20 (US) more than the total price of the pipe shipping from the UK.
Engineering wise the pipe is drilled straight and feels good in the hand. I'll be breaking it in with Carter Hall and then smoking VaPers in her. If this pipe smokes good I may grab another.

Nice looking pipe there, I have been interested in picking up an army mount pipe. For the look and I like how you could remove the stem mid smoke if needed.

Also,is it just me or does the first pic of the grain almost look a sort of camo? Coincidence or did the maker do that on purpose :?:

Great looking pipe. Brave purchase after your bad experience, but I bet you'll do fine. All my Petersons have

worked out well. Generally, I think they're well made. I like the Army mount on the Irish made series, spare

but handsome with the metal on the shank.

Very nice looking pipe - congrats. I really like the 120 Dublin (I have one in a Rosslare Royal).

I've had terrible luck ordering from these guys. Hope you receive the pipe okay.

Just had my first smoke out of it. I was going to break her in with CH but I keep reaching for McC 2015. Outside of the bowl getting a little hot, gotta build up that cake. It smoked great. I didn't notice any break in off flavors until I was at the end. Nice pipe. I wish it was half an inch shorter.
Thanks for all the comments. I will be getting another. I seem to like utilitarian pipes which is why I went with this model instead of the higher end spigots. Plus the army bit is cool.
@Micahel... If the first smoke is any indication, once this baby is broken in I know it will be an outstanding pipe.
@six... I've seen the pics you've posted and always lusted after the spigots. That Rosslare is one nice looking pipe.
@Bryan... 2nd time I've ordered from them. No problems so far and like I said earlier, I couldn't pass on that sale they had.
To everyone else following this post. If your looking for a sub $100 pipe that will smoke great, do not hesitate to get one.

Here's a follow up. The pipe smokes great. I'm so impressed I ordered a 69 model from SmokingPipes. Hopefully it'll smoke as good as the Dublin.
