This was my one Independence Day purchase.
Brown Falcon with slightly bent bit and meerschaum lined smooth Bulldog bowl.

I haven't fired it up yet. Anything one should know when using meerschaum or breaking it in?
Thanks.

It will be delicate being that thin so care must be taken when emptying it out, no pounding it on a hard surface and be careful with the blade of your pipe knife. Wipe the pipe out with Ba damp, paper towel when it is cool this prevents cake building up which is not needed, nor wanted, in Meerschaum, enjoy it.

Thanks, fellas.
I'm thinking I'll try my first taste of Plum Pudding in it after breakfast tomorrow.

Also, anyone have a favorite source for additional bowls for the Falcon?
Banjo, I seem to recall a nice artisan one you had in one of your exhibitions.

4Noggins sells Falcon bowls and stems http://www.4noggins.com/falcon-bowls.aspx looks like they have 1 meerschaum block bowl available. Also looks like they may be getting out of the Falcon line because they haven't reordered any further bowls and stems. I get mine from JN Barber in the UK http://www.smoke.co.uk/acatalog/Falcon.html

Sometimes you can find them on eBay as well, regards.

None of my Meer Lineds has ever had much if any buildup of cake. Frustrating in a good way. Read somewhere it was due to the binder they press the Meerschaum with. If others have had cake, please let me know how.

I'm not really a fan of Falcon pipes but yours is exceptionally nice. I really like that it has a meer lined bowl. Congrats on that one. I hope you enjoy. I'm sure it will provide you with plenty of slack.
