Been on the lookout for a bamboo and a female carver. Both came to fruition in this pipe. From Bulgaria, she trained with Sergey Cherepanov

phil, I thought the cumberland accent proves that she is concerned with aesthetics. Shows she cared about the final product even with small details.
Oh and its smokes great.

It's just wonderful how the features of the bamboo are worked into the shank and stem. Those transitions are achieved in a very artful way. How deep and how wide is the bowl chamber?

The pattern on the bamboo lends a lot of energy in the pipe's design. The narrowing of the bowl looks brandy shaped to me, but I always give the carver the benefit of the doubt. I have an XL pipe that I considered a brandy, but then I saw the invoice from Johs that says it's an apple, so an apple it is. That's a really handsome pipe you have.

I strongly agree with Mso. She used the bamboo as a cue for the style of the pipe.
Bamboo is so hit or miss with me, this one is a hit.
