Hey it looks like Dunhill has a new blend that is sort of a cross between Nightcap and Early morning!

Sounds right up my alley!

Maybe they should call it "Nooner"

I got the email today and was confused. This has been out for a year. I had to check the date on the email to make sure I hadn't reached back in to my archive accidentally. What gives?

Yes it's been out for awhile and is by far, my favorite Dunhill blend. I've been raving about it in several "your new fav blend" threads.
I bought a bunch when it was first re-released and labeled Baby's Bottom.
Some lonely social justice warrior whined about the name and they relabeled it BB1938.

The tins I have gotten from SP have all been labeled MM Baby's Bottom - and I've smoked several. It's very good.

It's nothing like Nightcap - it has no perique, and it's not a lat bomb or a nic monster. I'd say it's more like somewhere between London and Standard.

I smoked a tin and enjoyed it. Here' my review of it:
The smell out of the tin is stronger than the taste of the tobacco. The Cyprian latakia is very smoky and very woody with a creamy sweetness. The various Virginias offer a hint of citrus and grass, some earth and tangy dried fruit (thank the red Virginia for the last two observations). I suspect an extremely mild topping is here to aid in the smoothness of this product. Burns at a decent rate with few relights, and a very consistent mild to medium flavor with no harsh or dull spots to the finish. Barely leaves any moisture and no unburnt tobacco in the bowl. Has a very pleasant after taste. The old saying "smooth as a baby's bottom" Dunhill used in ads for the original does apply to this version. It could be an all day smoke, depending on your preference for latakia. Three and a half stars out of four.

This might make a separate thread when someone tries it, but Low Country (smokingpipes.com) has just come out with a new blend that's full strength and based on cigar leaf among other leaf. I just did my TAD, so it will be a while before I get to that. I still need to open my Low Country Cooper (and tried it and it's great). It's the Golden Age of tobacco blending, while it lasts, alas.

MSO489: I'll get a tin of that either today or tomorrow and will review it.
