Nope. Truss resigned, Johnson returned to claim the prize then decided he didn't want it, and Sunak got the nod. I'll keep my fingers crossed that he's up to the job. This didn’t appear in my PM’s. Am I missing something?
Charlie has no say in the matter unfortunately, he pretty much has to do what he is told.Let’s see what King Charles has to say.
Johnson didn't decide he didn't want the job....he wanted it more than anything, he simply had too few backers so 'bravely backed out'.Nope. Bravely Bold Sir Robin, rode forth from Camelot….Johnson didn't decide he didn't want the job....he wanted it more than anything, he simply had too few backers so 'bravely backed out'.

It's being reported to the press by members of his party that he had the backing and turned his back on it. Considering he is one of the architects of Britain's current mess, this may have been a wise decision.Johnson didn't decide he didn't want the job....he wanted it more than anything, he simply had too few backers so 'bravely backed out'.

Supposedly he didn't want the party split even more than it already is as the other guy has a very large backing as well. It's being reported to the press by members of his party that he had the backing and turned his back on it. Yes he's definitely one of the "rich elite" and big into the WEF so you can make of that what you will.I think Sunak is actually more wealthy than King Charles, both from his own fortune and his wife's family fortune. Whether either of them can spare any concern for the countryside shop keep or the Welsh miner remains to be seen. Sunak brings a young generation onto the governmental summit, which if he succeeds, would be a big plus for sometimes backward looking UK.
