Well thanks to Yazimataz and Rothnh and all their talk about Brigham pipes I pulled the trigger on another one myself. I orderd the Chinook 4dot Sandblasted Saucer. I don't have a sandblasted pipe yet nor do I have a black one so I couldn't help myself. My local B&M has all their Brigham pipes on sale which puts them on par with the big US E-tailers pricing without shipping costs. For all my Canadian Brothers of the Briar, they have a flat fee of $10 to ship a package anywhere in Canada. I'm not affiliated with this company, they're just a great business that has really helped me out with samples and good pricing on pipes and cigars. null
Here is the pipe I ordered. http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/pipes-cigars-tobacco_2254_292953095

Thanks to me??? Excuse me sir, but I believe YOU own (2) Brighams that you so handsomely displayed in your case which caught my eye :) Now you will have number (3), unless there are others you have acquired since what, Monday
That is a beauty man. I don't remember seeing that one but P&C has so many. I will have to look for that one again soon. I have won two pipes on Ebay this week and bidding on a few more. Once the end of the week comes and I (hopefully) have at least three I will post some pics. I have a feeling you and I will meet in person and stuff some Black Shag into a Brigham (can I get some payola for all of the name dropping???)and enjoy a few bowls.
Congrats sir. Let us know how she smokes Brian.

Dan I believe you are in the Jersey area and I'm just outside of Toronto, not beyond the realm of possible one of these days to get together for a bowl or six! I'd enjoy that for sure. And no, I haven't acquired anything new, but I intend on buying some raffle tickets at our next pipe club meeting and if I win all bets are off on what new pipes I'll come home with!!!
Sam if you're anywhere near by you're more than welcome to join us. I haven't tried a vaper in a Brig yet, think I'll have to christen the Chinook with some Escudo!

Sam and I are actually about 30 min away and will be meeting at Morley's Pipe Club next week. I do look forward to meeting you Sam and sampling some of that Penzance :)
Brian, my wife and I LOVE Canada. Before kids we used to hit Montreal for Mondial de Bierre (World of Beer festival)and my former neighbor is from Toronto and he had his bachelor party and wedding in Toronto. We haven't been up since 2005 but that just gives me an excuse to hit the GWN. Of course, if you ever wanted to visit Philadelphia, I would be more than happy to show you around to the 30-40 GREAT pubs that are within a 6 block radius as well as some good tobacconists.

Sounds like a plan, there's a big beer festival in TO each spring/summer that my brother is always trying to get me to go to. Never been to Philly but would like to travel a bit more down that way, couple of buddies were trying to put together a road trip to catch a Leaf's game in either Pittsburgh or Philly. I'll have to keep that in mind for next season and let you know if I make it. Same goes for you if you ever make it up this way make sure to let me know.

Rothnh, Smoking pipes has the Acadian line which are a more natural finish and the description is that it has a vulcanite stem. The Chinook has a Lucite stem, not that I know what the difference is. Just thought you might find that a little interesting.

Peck it depends, sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. Going to have Escudo in it for the first smoke, I'll leave the filter in to see what it's like vs my Sav that I normally smoke Escudo in.

That's a Chinook #426. I have the same pipe and I love it. the only thing I don't like is that the stem is nylon and not vulcanite. It's really slippery in the teeth and I refuse to use rubber tippers. I don't like them and I find the pipe bounces around too much and my jaw hurts from holding it open more than usual. All in all its a great smoking pipe and the bowl is lined with some orange colored clay to help cake buildup. This is irrelavant for me as I put a thin coating of honey in all my bowls to help them cake faster and it does work.

Brdavidson, the vulcanite of softer on the teeth and typically more comfortable in the mouth, but he finish will oxidize over time. The lucite/acrylic will not oxidize, but are harder on the teeth.

Sam I looked at that shape too, but in the Chinook line. I like the sandblast and wanted a black one as it reminds me of my Grandfathers pipes (always black). I have family in the Kitchener area and am up there frequently. If you're ever on the way up let me know and we'll try to meet up for a bowl.

Nice pickup sir! I love the shape, the black and the blast. Sorry that I'm not home to drop into the local B&M to take advantage of the sale.
How'd that first bowl burn?

Doesn't come till early next week, they were out of stock on that shape but are ordering it in for me and giving me the sale price! Just another reason that Victory rocks. Sale goes on for a while still you may be back in time Pat, check their website when you're home. Dont worry I still left some room in the budget for a Trypis or two! See you in a couple of weeks.

I only have older Brigs, but these pics are setting my PAD off for a new one. I'll have to pick one up soon to try it out. It's only right...
