Looks like i need to bone up on my research. One thing I noticed in the dictionary under calabash. Calabash is also a style of pipe as well as being those made from gourds. BC is one maker that features a briar calabash.

Go to the site, create an account and start adding info.
I'm still a novice at it myself, but after you make an account and decide what you want to write about, do a search on it.
The search will most likely come back empty and then it asks if you want to create that page.
Then you make the page and start writing.

Our loacal B&M had a pipe show this weekend and the owner gave a very imformative tutorial on the history of tobacco and explained (and offered samples) of straight burley, Virginia, latakia, perique and Cavendish as well as some of the blends usuing the aforementioned tobaccos. I'm going to forward the wikipedia site to him for his contributions. Lots of gereat info passed on today.
