Yesterday I revisited a tin of Murray's 1921 Cunningham I first smoked new last year. It's Virginia flake with some Perique and rum topping. It is really good, but not widely available. I'll probably buy more, but I'm also looking for recommendations of something similar, either tin or bulk. Not necessarily flake, but for some reason I think it's better in flake.

Dan Tobacco Salty Dogs! One of the best blends out there!

Cornell and Diehl Blockade Runner

I also like GH Rum Flake, but it has some Burley in it as well

You could also try Samuel Gawith's navy flake, as it is virginia based, although it has just the tiniest smidge of latakia in it. So little it's hard to even notice.

Fribourg and Treyer Brown Flake has rum I believe.

I did not know F & T Special Brown Flake had rum. It tasted like a straight virginia to me. But it is very good. It is the best one of their flakes, IMO, barring Cut Virginia Plug, which I haven't tried.
SG Navy Flake has a very noticeable amount of latakia in it. Certainly enough to put me off it.

I think it's about 15%. I suppose my propensity for english blends may make it less noticeable to my palate.
