Any chance online retailers will be posting notice of which blends are vulnerable to deeming dates, wherever those dates finally land? How do you know which of your favorites are vulnerble? 'Chase just informed me on another thread that Black Frigate is an old timer and less/not vulnerable. How can I tell about all the various blends and single-leaf tobaccos. I think the Iwan Ries Three Star line is immune across the board (at leasted related to the prospective deeming date(s)) but I don't really know that.

I go to Tobacco Reviews and look for the earliest review. Also, some of the entries include the year that a specific blend went on the market at the top of the listing. If you want to mostly fool proof your search, use the Internet Archive Wayback Machine to look at an archived version of Tobacco Reviews, pre Feb 15 2007. Just remember that Tobacco Reviews only covers blends that were reviewed, not all blends available.

+1 on what Sablebrush said. It would be nice if tobacco retailers would put out a list of what is going away. I would think that they would want to so that they could cash in on the increased sales that will come with people stocking up on a favorite that is going to go away.

If you go to G.L. Pease's site, he's now listing the year and month each blend was introduced. I don't recall if the site always listed the release dates, but it does now.
