After many years away from smoking pipe. I have brought out my Jobey 300 it was my very first pipe. I would like to replace the threaded insert that goes into the shank of the bowl. Which the stem fits onto it. I believe Jobey may have been unique in doing this. I bought this pipe in the late 70s or early 80s not sure of its date. Anyhow, where can one get these threaded inserts for Jobey pipes nowadays? Not seeing anyone selling Jobey online I am guessing they are no longer in business. Appreciate any advice or help to point me in the right direction.

I had a Jobey with the screw-in stem for years. It was a good looking pipe, but I finally traded it for store credit. The interesting aspect was that Jobey had moved repeatedly. My pipe stem was stamped "France," but the pipe shop owner wasn't sure it had been made there. Jobey was established in France, then moved to UK, later to the U..S., and then back to France. I hope I have the sequence correct, but it moved multiple times. Good for Tim West to do a professional re-fit for an admirably reasonable price.

Along the same lines, the Kaywoodie Drinkless series that had screw-in stinger stems for years finally went to a push-bit about five years ago.
