I am up in Woodbridge NJ this evening and stopped by "Mane Street Cigar" to see if they had any pipe stuff and hopefully use their lounge. It is a small shop but with a lovely lounge, which I had to myself. Unfortunately, not much in the way of pipes, some Altadis blends in jars. I bought some "English Blend" while looking thru the jars, the clerk (turns out he is the owner) volunteered he had screens if I needed any. I laughed and after seeing his puzzled look, I told him briar pipe smokers don't use screens and he thanked me for the education. He had just bought the shop with a partner and is attempting to learn the business. I enjoyed the lounge, which he kept open later just for me (I had no clue they closed at 7 and left at 7:30...). The screens comment still makes me laugh and it was nice to get a smoke without having to stand outside my hotel in a chilly night.
