Bit of history in that pic. I spend a lot of time while piping, reading about WWII. Never ceases to fascinate me. The stories, the men, the machines, the sacrifices ... The victory.

Did you make the convention Old Cajun? I have watched a few hours of it yesterday and this AM. Today I watched the speech from Taya Kyle, Chris Kyle's wife. Hard not to get a little choked up on that one.

Did not make the show, babysat my sons 2 dogs so he and wife and grandson could go, I worked with a man whose name was Gilbert Nash. He was a combat photographer in the Asian thrust, he was one of the first on Japan after the bombings, took pictures on the Battleship for the surrender. Hated the Japanese, had to hide him when Japanese visitors came to Plant. He told me a funny story, in Guam females were top less, Marine General said that will never do, distributed hundreds of T-Shirts for them to cover up. The days after the cover up campaign began women were seen wearing the t-shirts with 2 holes cut out for their breasts. It didn"t work! LOL

thats pretty funny. I'm sure the Marines thought of it as God's little blessing in their life during war time.
