It's simple, not over the top. I like the squared off shank and stem, and that the bowl looks big at least in the picture, but the pipe its self doesn't look super long. I used to dislike all straight pipes. Recently I've seen a few I'd smoke. That's one of them.@Coreios: You like the pipe? Can you tell me why you like the pipe? I have my reasons!

I have a friend that made that.Don't laugh but we did think about it. There was talk of a 'John Cotton's Pipe' line of branded pipes. I looked into producing a line of 'War Horse' clay pipes but trying to find a viable manufacturer that would have done low runs at reasonable prices sort of killed off that idea.i
Kind of looks like it was originally a meer-lined pipe.This was given to me the other year and has been sitting in my desk drawer. I will probably never smoke it as it is not meerschaum. I have no idea who made it or how old it is or even if it is briar? Answers on a post card please.
