Okay, many of us were lucky enough to receive a Christmas pipe, or several, and are
refraining from crowing too much, but I thought I'd list my three and then pipe down.
The largest is a honey of a Missouri Meerschaum freehand in white natural cob, with
an impressively deep conical bowl and an acrylic stem, that surely goes with the
vintage L.L. Bean flannel shirt my wife also gave me. The second pipe is a straight
apple in a reddish stain with a red toned stem and silver-colored band, which I brought
to my wife's attention when it appeared on the IR half-price pipe page. And finally, my
wife picked out a snazzy Savenelli bent Rhodesian Opera pipe with briar bands; what
a beauty. Of course, I caught a bug that has me mostly refraining from smoking for a few
days, but I have good motivation to rebound soon.
