i have found out that my son is a pipe smoker. i had commented that he gets my peterson pipe when i am gone and he ripped off the whole peterson pipe story off the top of his head. you have to understand that him and i have been estranged for a number of years and our mutual love of the briar is helping us find common ground for a reconcile.
so the question now is..... do i introduce him to SJF?

Wow that is awesome that the love of the briar is bringing you both together...unfortunately, I dont know what SJF stands for. I'm a newb that doesn't have all the lingo down yet :(

Sounds like your on the right track.
I'm a little new around here.

What is SJF?
Good luck to you.
Edit: Must have posted at about the same time.

So... Never mind. :puffy:

Good one Lawrence
I've never tried the blend, again because I'm a newb. I can't see how a bowl could hurt. On the contrary, I think sharing a bowl of the exclusive blend can bring you both even closer, but what do I know, I'm just a kid :D
Either way, I wish you the best with your son.

I think there is only one real answer to that: spend some time together and sample each other's favorites. He may have some of his own opinions on what is good and nothing encourages someone else to listen like being a good listener yourself.
All the best on the reconciliation.

Whether we like it or not, one's son is not a reincarnation of oneself. But if this will help bring you two closer together it is a real blessing....

I would say go ahead, if you can find any, and give the SJF a whirl with him. The worst that can happen is that he does not like it. YMMV is definitely in play with pipe tobacco. Good luck with the recon either way.

Congrats on the reunification. Now if you were trying to intro him to the Military, or college, or some other thing that caused the riff, ya might wanna tone down the recommendations and let him smoke what he wants and perhaps he'll intro you to something he likes.

My Father and I were estranged for over 20 years and unfortunately for me, he unexpectedly passed away last summer without us ever getting back together. So please take it from me and make the most out of this opportunity.
