Figured I'd take a few pics and share what my collection is looking like. It's a humble set of 4 but I love em all.

The meerschaum is a Paykoc my wife got me for Christmas. Next to that is an H.I.S. Briar pipe from a local shop. Next is a no-name briar from the same shop(my first pipe). And finally is my most recent addition(today actually), and it's a no-name, but made in Italy, briar churchwarden from the same shop as the last two.

Very nice! I have a ten year old Paykoc meer myself, just starting to get some color after I removed a lot of cake buildup. Be careful around here: these guys are enablers, and Pipe Acquisition Disorder has no cure. :D

How's that H.I.S. smoke ? I've seen some of them around quite inexpensively and was wondering about them. I think I may buy some to hand out or hand to friends when they visit. Or carry around while out camping, fishing, hiking, that kind of stuff.
All I have ever been able to find is that they are made by an Italian company called "Gardesana" who also makes a line of their own branded pipes. You can find them on cupojoes.com for instance. The Gardesana pipes are more expensive ($70 - $80), which makes me think that the H.I.S. may be their line of seconds of some sort. Kinda like the Duca Carlo pipes for Savinelli.
Here's a Pipedia Article on them, but very, very short.

Thanks everybody! I'm definitely working towards filling up that first rack, lol.

Mick, the H.I.S smokes great. Before I bought that one the only briar pipe I had was my first one. It's a great pipe but has a cheap stem and has given me some troubles. When I got the H.I.S I was SO happy. It's pretty, very durable, and smokes exactly the way I imagined good pipes are supposed to smoke. I got mine for around $25 at a shop up here and I think it was definitely worth it.
