Hello
I have a Rosewood pipe who uses 9mm filter. The pipe comes with one filter but the box of filters I ordered on eBay has not arrived so I use the filter the pipe comes too many time. I wash it with hot water like 3 times.
Now the the pipe have tar outside the wood tar. Its seem the pipe wood absorb the tar and now is visible in the area where the falter goes.
Can I expect the Tar disappear after sometime with out use it? I go back to use my older pip who is ver fifferente

It sounds like rosewood absorbs tar differently than briar. Alcohol will remove tar, but it might ruin the pipe's surface finish.

If the wood is discolored from the inside out, or any other way for that matter, no amount of rest will restore the wood's color.

Yes, the pipe loose his polish oak light color for black but my preoccupation is if the pipe will start to be rotten in this area.

Pipe is being smoked to much with not enough rest in between mate. Also, toss the filter and smoke it without one until your new ones arrive. If you can't do that, take about an inch and half of pipe cleaner, bend it over and insert it where the filter normally goes. It will help.
