My Peterson Meer—Finally Got to Smoke It.

I mentioned this pipe on the forum about 3 or 4 weeks ago, but I caught the flu the very same day it arrived. :crying:
Finally got to smoke it this evening and I am happy to report that it is a great pipe. I took a slight chance buying it not being able to see much in the photos. Didn't know the condition of the bowl and the stem looked a bit chewed up. But for only $20, wasn't a big risk.
But after receiving it, discovered that the bowl was pristine and the stem was only lightly stained with no real issues. Buffed the stem with micro-mesh, obsidian oil and it's now perfect. Shows there are still good deals to be found on ebay!

Thanks guys - much appreciated. Besides my Dunhill, this has got to be the deal of the century for me. The previous owner either took exceptionally good care of this pipe or only smoked it a few times - it's in nearly new condition.

hehe - I check ebay nearly every day for undiscovered bargains. I usually search "estate pipes" ending "soonest" and scan the auctions that are all ending within 24 hours. Every once in a while a pipe shows up that has slipped under everyone's radar.

Thanks rcstan. I know - I still cannot believe my good luck. I actually feel a little badly for sellers who lose a pipe at such a low price. Of course it's not my fault, so I don't have any guilt, but still...
