My New Jerry Perry from the State Fair

Did a super speedy trip to the state fair, since my wife wasn't able to go. Stopped by my favorite pipe carver's booth in

the Village of Yesteryear and bought, on his recommendation, a small but very sturdy little pipe, 5 ", a kind of nose warmer

Rhodesian with amber stem, carved in briar this time. He gave me a kindly discount for my years of patronage, and I am home

braking it in with a nice bowl of Big 'n Burley, a full bowl, going for the full experience. It's a great little lunting pipe, the

perfect pocket pipe, and one of a kind. He'll be at the fair through the last day, Sunday 10/26.

Where is this state fair?

The North Carolina State Fair is in Raleigh at Hillsborough Street and Blue Ridge Road, through

Sunday, for anyone within striking distance. Folks over 65 get in free, although parking nearby

goes for $15, but handicapped parking is free.

Why not take the pictures and email them to someone who can host them and post them for you. I use Imgur and it works great.
