Well, the topic says it all. The no-name rosewood pipe's mouthpiece leaves a black stain on the paper when I wipe it down with a napkin with alcohol on it. This material looks like it could be vulcanite, but I'm not too certain because my other two pipes are have acrylic bits and don't leave any stains when I clean them using the same method.
Is this a result of a dodgy vulcanite stem, or perhaps a different material completely? Is vulcanite supposed to leave stains when you clean it with 95% alcohol (C2H60, dimethyl ether)?

I dont clean the outside of my stemss with alcohol so I couldnt tell you. But my vulcanite stems havent ever done that to me before. It could just be a cheap rubber stem, not real vulcanite
